kingstraightedge: theplowthatbroketheplains: Teen Suicide is the project of Sam Ray (rickyeatacid) and Eric Livingston, and DC SNUFF FILM is the latest release. Sam Ray does guitar/vocals and Eric drums and writes some lyrics. Teen Suicide is not your normal run of the mill punk band. They are actually great, and they are really unique. They pack a melancholic sometimes drug filled punch that knocks you back and leaves you asking “Where did my life go? Did I become lost in all these benzos?” This short album will have you asking for more after it’s done. Sam Ray’s vocals soar throughout the entire album and it’s a voice you will never forget,  Eric’s drumming is fantastic, the way these two achieve perfect unison is just out of this world. Songs like “Everything Is Fine” showcases the truly magnificent life of someone lost in a haze: “I made friends with a creep he sticks a needle in his arm when i’m lying in my bed. he stole everything I had I still let him hang around cause everything is fine” But don’t get all jittery, it also has it’s depressing side, songs like “Don’t Like Me” will leave you falling out: “You said I wasted all your time, I thought you wasted all of mine. She said it all, you don’t like me anymore.” The best thing about Teen Suicide is the influences of that sound from it. I got a sneak peek into their next release “Waste Yrself” and it’s one of the best records this year. But DC SNUFF FILM will hold you over until then. It’s noisy, it’s punk but still they carry their own brand of punk. Their acoustic bits, which sound fantastic will move you, depress you and make you want to shoot some heroin.
